Laura Jean Fulton

Laura Jean Fulton was born in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Mary and Harris Fulton Sr. on November 30, 1959. Laura was 63 years old when she gained her wings on March 3, 2023. Laura passed away peacefully with family by her side at Yale New Haven Hospital after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Laura was the oldest daughter and one of out of 8 siblings. She then moved to Connecticut in 1974 from Philadelphia. Here in Connecticut, she attended the New Haven Public School system. She had four children, three boys and one girl. She then married the now late Gerald Bell. Laura wore many different hats and worked in many different places leaving a lasting impression anywhere she was employed no matter how short or long the interval. Laura worked as a manager at Walmart for over 10 years where she touched many lives. She also was a big addition to her son’s company Maintenance Pro. Laura was very dedicated to her family and made sure she spent as much time as she could with them. She was a long time Church member of Pitts Chapel and up until her passing a dedicated member of Refiner’s Fire Church. Laura was a very thoughtful and compassionate person. She loved her family & friends with her whole heart. She had the ability to make anyone feel comfortable, so they could just be themselves. She took on the role of Auntie, Mom & Grandma to many. She loved her four children deeply, loving her grandchildren even more. Her children could do no wrong in her eyes and that was how devoted she was to them. She was passionate when writing beautiful poems. She loved to take pictures and videos of any and every one to capture those precious moments in time and now we have those memories forever. She was the life of the party and lit up any room she was in with her big bright smile. She loved to dance and would drag everyone to dancefloor with her. She was a loyal wrestling fan and would go insane when Roman Reigns lost a match. Laura is widowed by Gerald Bell, in addition to her parents she is also predeceased by her mother in-law Betty Bell, father in-law James Bell, her Step-father Willie Johnson, sister Emma Lynette Fulton-Anderson, her nephew William Baines IV & her sister-in-law Lindell Gore-Fulton. She is survived by her four children, oldest, James Fulton (Sonya). Michael Nicholson, Syreeta Nicholson and Darryl Nicholson (Nene). Her 6 brothers and sisters, Harris Fulton Jr., Vernon Fulton Sr., Anthony Fulton Sr. (Wanda), Tracey Turner Fulton (Anthony), Gwendolyn Fulton and Cassandra Johnson all of New Haven, CT. Her brother-in-law David Anderson New Haven, CT. Her Godson Pastor Jason Benjamin Jr. She leaves to mourn her passing, 30 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. She also leaves many loving family members and friends.
