Jerome Little

On Friday, March 27, 2026, Jerome Marquis Little, the second eldest child of Anita Little Spring!eld, entered into eternal rest. His life journey began on September 27, 1979, in New Haven, Connecticut, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Jerome’s early years were spent in northern Connecticut with his mother Anita, his dad Joseph E. Spring!eld, his eldest brother Sharmont C. Little, and his younger siblings Gabrielle and Danny Spring!eld. He was surrounded by love, structure, and a deep emphasis on education—values that shaped him into the loving, respectful, responsible, and exceptionally intelligent young man he became. He was educated in the Windsor and Hamden public school systems and continued his studies at Western Connecticut State University. Being the caring and compassionate person he was, Jerome dedicated his entire professional life to the !eld of mental health and addiction services. He served at Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital, The Hill Health Center SCRC, and most recently at Continuum of Care in New Haven—always giving back to those who needed support and understanding. Jerome was united in marriage to Cieanna Little, and together they shared two beautiful children, Jali and Jamari Little. Family was everything to him. Being a husband and father was his greatest pride. He was also a devoted brother, uncle, and son—showing up, being present, and loving deeply in ways that made him truly special.Jerome proudly called himself a “nerd,” often saying with a smile that being a nerd is cool. He was an avid reader and a passionate fan of anime, DC Comics, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe—especially Superman and Black Panther. His enthusiasm made him a joyful conversationalist with both children and adults. He was also a talented baker, known for his signature German Chocolate cake.His memory will be cherished by his mother Anita Spring!eld; his wife Cieanna Little; his children Jali and Jamari Little; his brothers Sharmont Little, Danny Spring!eld, Jonathan Edwards, and R.K. Spring!eld; his sisters Gabrielle Spring!eld, Keosha Little, and Nicole Edwards; his nieces Sharniya Little, Samarria Little, Rylynn Spring!eld, and Braylen Spring!eld; his biological father Henry Edwards; and a host of cousins, family, and friends. He is predeceased by his dad Joseph E. Spring!eld; his grandparents Essie Little Lowery and Bo Lowery; his uncles Ferman Little, Eric Little, John Little, Benjamin Little, Anthony Little Sr., and Ivory Townsend; and his aunt Shirley Townsend.Jerome’s life was a testament to kindness, intelligence, and unwavering love.
