Deborah Rayon

On the morning of July 29, 2026, at 12:20 a.m., God called another angel, Deborah Ann Rayon, home to sing in His heavenly choir. Deborah was born on August 17, 1953, in New Haven, Connecticut, to the late Frank Rayon and Mattie Lucille Rayon Little. She was a graduate of James Hillhouse High School, Class of 1972. Following graduation, Deborah began her career with the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services in New Haven, where she served with dedication and commitment for more than 35 years. Deborah was known for her sweet spirit, compassionate heart, and unwavering faith. She was a true worshiper who loved praising God and never allowed life's circumstances to hinder her praise. Her greatest joy was worshiping with her church family at Pitts Chapel United Free Will Baptist Church, where she faithfully served on the Pastor's Aide Committee. Cooking was one of Deborah's greatest passions. She delighted in preparing meals for family and friends and welcomed everyone with love through her cooking. Her banana pudding was her signature dessert and a family favorite, often requested for gatherings and special occasions. One of her favorite pastimes was spending precious time with her late Aunt Susie Mae. Deborah visited her almost every day, often bringing lunch, and together they enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching their favorite television game show, Family Feud. Deborah's kindness, generosity, warm smile, and loving spirit touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, Thadd Calvin Williams; her daughter, Ann Sirena Durham; her brother, Timothy Rayon; her sons, David Louis Rayon, Dashawn Douglas Rayon, and Taeyques Damonte Rayon; her grandsons, Elijah and Kade Rayon; her niece, Michelle Walton; her nephew, Timothy Maurice Credle; her aunts, Carolyn Ford, Alberta Pittman, and Betty (John) Coleman; her uncles, Herbert Ford and Timothy (Sara) Ford; her goddaughter, Tawanda Bridgeforth; her sister-friend, Shequila Little; her sisters-in-law, Stella Williams, Virlinda (Michael) Billups, and Octavius (Charles) Johnson; her brother-in-law, Donnie Williams; and a host of beloved great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her twin uncles, Rembert Durant Ford and Clifton Jake Ford; her uncle, James Milton Ford, Sr.; her uncle, Wyman Pittman, Jr.; her aunt, Susie Mae Ford; her aunt, Ethel Mae James; her aunt, Jacquelyn Ford; her aunt, Delores Ford; her aunt, Sheila Ford; and her cousin and godson, Jonquay T.
