Belinda Moss

Belinda Moss, 67, of New Haven, Connecticut, was born March 2, 1959 and passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026. Belinda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend. She was a loving and caring person who found great joy in helping others and being there for the people she loved. For many years, Belinda provided childcare for neighbors and friends, creating lasting bonds with the children and families she cared for. In recent years, Belinda dedicated her time to serving her community as a volunteer at the Walk of Faith Church’s Community Food Pantry, where she faithfully served for the past three years. Her willingness to give her time and help others was a reflection of her generous heart and caring spirit. Belinda enjoyed shopping, cooking for her family, listening to old music, and spending time with her grandchildren. She especially treasured family gatherings and seldom missed an opportunity to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and other special moments with the people she loved. Family was at the center of her life, and the memories she created with them will be cherished forever. Belinda was known for her strong personality and her willingness to speak her mind. She was never one to hold back when it came to matters concerning her family. If she disagreed with something, she made sure her voice was heard—often with a directness and honesty that were uniquely Belinda. Her outspoken nature was a memorable part of who she was, and those who knew her best will remember her for always being true to herself and standing firmly behind what she believed was right. She will be remembered for her outspokenness, generosity, warm spirit, and love for her family and community. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, friendship, and service. May her memory continue to bring comfort and joy to all who knew her. Belinda is survived by her Mother Oteller (Tilla) Godwin Butler; 3 sons: Terrance Moss, Tory Moss and Calvin Moss; 9 grandchildren: Terrance Moss Jr, Kaylin Moss, Jerimy Moss and CJ Moss, Aliyah Moss, Kalil Moss, Caviyah Moss, Calvin Moss and Kendall Moss; 3 siblings: Darlene (Edward) Scott, Jerome Godwin, and Nicole (Ron) Wilkins; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly. Belinda was preceded in death by her Father, Henry Willie Moss; her brother, James Maverick Godwin; maternal grandparents, and her beloved cousin, Valeri Dudley.
