Albert Raymond Goldfarb

Albert Raymond Goldfarb was born January 12, 1949, in Hartford, CT, to the late Mary Julia Robinson John & Albert Goldfarb. He was blessed to have another father, Rudolph John. "Pumpkin" the name given to him by his cousin Brenda Solomon, as he was called in his younger days was an amazing husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin. Albert came to New Haven, CT as a child where he lived with his parents and 8 other siblings. After his mom remarried, the family grew a little bigger with another brother and 2 more sisters. Then when his mother took on foster children, the family grew even bigger with another brother and sister. He also had foster brothers and sisters. Albert received his education in New Haven, CT, graduating from James Hillhouse High School. He loved dancing and used to dance with a group called the Canesmen, wearing those tight, straight-legged pants, using canes. One day when life tried to take him down the wrong road, he had his mother sign papers so he could enlist in the US Navy. He served in the United States Navy from June 8, 1966 - January 23, 1986. While serving in the military, he met and married the love of his life, Cely Ocampo Emperador on January 17, 1970 in Cavite City, Philippines. To this union, 3 beautiful daughters were born. Albert leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Charlene Marie Goldfarb (Gustavo Martinez), Long Beach, CA; Markaye Marie (Mathieu) Buron, Bordeau, France; Monique Marie McMichael (Deceased). His daughters all have the same middle names, Marie. He gave them these names in honor of his mother, Mary. He also leaves his sisters, Gaynell (Willie) Martin, Hamden, CT; Gloria John-Coleman, Lehigh Acres, FL; Muriel Boyce, Tuna Puna, Trinidad; Nancy (Walter) Traynham, New Haven, CT; Deborah Goldfarb-Williams, Derby, CT; Donna Bridges, West Haven, CT; Elizabeth Burgess, Greenville, SC; Marie Boulware, New Haven, CT; Beatrice Faulk and brother Robert Faulk, both of Naugatuck, CT. Albert leaves his grandchildren, Gisela Francesca & Connor Alexander Martinez, Long Beach, CA; and Arthur Leo & Zoey Lily Buron, Bordeaux, France. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard Goldfarb-Robinson, Rawle John, sisters, Diane Edwards and Dawn John. Before his illness, he weighed in about 300 plus pounds. If you ever called his cell phone and got his voice mail, it would say, "You have reached Little Al." He was over 6' tall and our father was about 5'3". Albert, you will be so missed. We will never forget you. We all love you and the love will never stop.
