Veronica Broadie Taylor

April 25, 1972 - December 14, 2021

Veronica Broadie-Taylor, 49, of Hamden, CT transitioned to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. She was born in New Haven, CT on April 25, 1972, to the late Jessie Broadie Sr. and Flora Livingston-Broadie. She was the widow of Owens (Boo) Taylor Jr. Affectionately known as Ronnie, she graduated from Wilbur Cross High School class of 1990 where she met her besties Delisha Payne and Wong Bryant that turned into a lifelong friendship. In 1993, she received her Associates degree in Business from Gateway Community College. Ronnie worked for Yale University for 26 years until her illness. She was a member of We Three and More Social Club, Da Ladies Social Club. She loved the game of baseball and attended the games of her children, nieces, nephews, the New Haven Cardinals, and watched her team The NY Yankees. She also loved listening to music, dancing, and going out to parties. Ronnie loved her family, especially her children and husband there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them. She also had a special love and bond with her siblings and loved being at the many family get togethers. She was a special friend to many she made during her life and was loved by many; she will truly be missed. Ronnie leaves to cherish her memories: two sons Tayron Levon Taylor of New Haven, CT, Javon Juilian Taylor of Hamden, CT; two stepsons, who affectionately called her “Momma Ron” Owens Taylor Jr. of New Haven and Brandon Taylor of Cheshire, CT and one daughter Brianna Tiffany Taylor of Hamden, CT: Three grandchildren Dakarie, Laila, Anahlys, and Owens all of New Haven, CT; one brother Jesse Broadie Jr. of New Haven CT; three sisters, Teresa Watts of Cheraw, SC, Margaret Stevenson and Regina Broadie of New Haven, CT; mother-in-law Juanita Taylor, father-in-law Owens Taylor Sr.; Special cousin/sister Mattie Hooks: eight nieces & nephews Levon, Larissa, Jasmine, Malcolm, Rhonda, Natalie, Dewayne, Ramisha; and a host of other loving cousins relatives and friends. Ronnie was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Owens Taylor Jr. (Boo), her mother Flora Livingston-Broadie, and her father Jessie Broadie Sr.
