Tyrren Murphy

November 2, 1960 - May 1, 2022

Tyrren Murphy entered into eternal life at the age of 61 on May 1, 2022 at 11:59pm. He was the second child born to Etta Hargrove Murphy and James Authur Murphy in New Haven, CT. Tyrren grew up in the city of New Haven, He was educated in the New Haven Public school system. He was a fun and loving guy who enjoyed attending family gatherings and visiting with his mother. He loved to play basketball with his sons, cooking for his family and trying to sing. Tyrren enjoyed taking family vacations down south, he loved tag selling and collecting gadgets. Tyrren was always seen sporting his fitted hats. He loved God and enjoyed reading his bible. Tyrren visited various churches in New Haven and loved hearing quartet singing. When hearing unexpected news Tyrren could often be heard stating his favorite saying, "You gotta be friggin kidding me". Tyrren leaves to cherish and celebrate his memory his mother Etta Elizabeth Murphy of New Haven, CT his father James Aurthur Murphy (Doll) of Tarlboro, North Carolina, His wife Kametria Mcneil-Murphy, his children Shanica Wilkins, Tyrenzo Arrington (Valery). Tyrren, Tanirah and Taneyah Murphy, Jyquan McNeil, Jayshon and Jakeem Edwards of New Haven, CT, seven grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brothers Daryeal Murphy and Henry Murphy (Tishia), sisters Lynette Murphy and Elizabeth Murphy and Jill Marks (Scott) , Step brother Donald Ray Williams and step sister Wanda Williams of Tarlboro, North Carolina, 1 God daughter, a special cousin Joseph Garrett, and host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Tyrren was preceded by 2 sons, Antoine Wilkins and Tyrren Arrington. A daughter in law Dorinda Wilkins and both paternal and maternal grandparents. He was truly loved by many and will be missed by all.
