Richard Esquire Mack, 47 of New Haven entered eternal rest on Friday, February 19, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Chevelle Mack. Richard was born on August 18, 1973 in Camp Lejeune, NC to Sheryl Person and Richard Mack. He was 1 of 12 siblings. Richard attended Wilbur Cross High School. He attended and proudly graduated from NETTTS of Bridgeport, where he received his Class A CDL license to start his career as a truck driver. Richard worked as a truck driver for CT Food Bank of Wallingford, CT. Most recently, he was instrumental in the development of daily deliveries to the company's new member agencies in New London, CT. His passion for making sure that things went accordingly for himself and others, were a part of his everyday routine. Richard also worked as a Residential Aide for The Connection Inc. at the Sierra Pre-trial Program in New Haven. Richard will be remembered for his love of his family and being an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were, of course his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Mets and Detroit Pistons. He loved attending family cookouts and being a comedian. Richard leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 10 years, Chevelle Mack, 2 daughters, Richlyn and Rae'Chel Mack, 1 son, Bryce Thomas, and 1 step-son Mi-Cha-El West, Jr. 8 sisters, Jeanette and Tizzie Mack of New London, CT, Stacey Troutman (Kumal) and Lorraine Matheney (John) of Hamden, CT, Tyeshia Young, Ericka Saucier and Doris Mack all of West Haven, CT, and Nanci Mack of VA; 3 brothers, Tracy Mack of New London,CT, Richard Saucier (Jennett) of NY and Henry Saucier of VA. 2 uncles, Nathaniel Sledd, of MD and Richard Mack, of WI. His mother and father-in-law, Elaine & Kevin Harris, sister-in-law, Christina Vaughn (Cerrone) and brother-in-law, Tyler Harris (Jaina) all of New Haven, CT. He also leaves behind to cherish his memories, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his aunt Gwedolyn Sledd, uncles Albert Sledd, Henry Mack, and Charles Mack, his maternal grandparents, Nathaniel and Jeanette Mack and his paternal grandparents, Hezekiah Mack,Jr. and Doris Mack.
