Ola Mae Jones

September 9, 1957 - May 13, 2022

Ola Mae Jones, 64, the youngest daughter of the late Jim Preston Jones and Aleathia Pearl Jones was born September 9, 1957 in Council, North Carolina. She departed this earthly world on May 13, 2022. Ola graduated from East Bladen High School in Elizabethtown, NC. She was also a long time employee of Yale New Haven Hospital for 38 years. She was the most generous woman and best mother and grandmother in this world. She would literally give the shirt off her back to help other people. She was and always will be loved by all of her family and friends, especially her three grandbabies who thought grandma was their hero. Ola’s life will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved her. Ola is predeceased by her parents, Jim Preston Jones and Aleathia Pearl Jones. Ola is survived by her daughter Michelle A. Jones of New Haven, CT; son Jerome L. Jones of Atlanta, GA; her sisters, Diane Jones of New Haven, CT and Peggy Johnson of Mount Holly, NJ; brothers, James Linwood Jones of Greensboro, NC and John Barton Jones of Concord, NC; her three grandchildren, King N. Little, Knight N. Little and Queen N. Little all of New Haven, CT. She loved her three grandbabies more than life itself. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss her very dearly.
