Marquise Knight

March 21, 1988 - June 13, 2022

Marquise Christopher Knight was born on March 21, 1988 at Yale New Haven Hospital to Jamie Knight and Keith Jordan. He attended Hamden Public Schools and played football with the Pop Warner New Haven Steelers, and the Hamden Dragons. He was employed at Amity Motors. Some of the things he enjoyed was spending time with his family, working on cars, assisting his father with many tasks, and being a right hand man for all who needed his help. Marquise was a dreamer. He had dreams of becoming a rapper, and an entrepreneur. Marquise was also a gentle giant. He loved the ladies, and the ladies loved him. Marquise loved his nieces and nephews with all of his heart. Marquise leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Jamie Knight of Charlotte, NC; father, Keith, and stepmother, Nancy Jordan of Hamden, CT; siblings, Shaquanna Knight, Meagan S. Jordan, Robert Knight, Robin Oliver, and Ariana Keene; nieces, Renee and Sky'lyne Gary; nephews, Tyson Gary, and Story Ray Jordan-Maple; paternal grandmother, Mae Helen Jordan; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, James S. Knight and Ellen L. Tutt-Harris; paternal grandfather, Parnell Ray Jordan; aunt, Karen Knight; uncles, James L. Knight, and Keith Garrett.
