Lottie Ann McCray Ready

November 21, 1953 - November 21, 2020

Lottie Ann McCray Ready, daughter of the late Dudley and Lousie McCray was born November 21, 1953 in Florence County. Lottie was a graduate of Battery Park High School in Nesmith, South Carolina. Lottie was a member of St. Mary Holiness Church in South Carolina under the leadership of the late Pastor Elouise Greene. Lottie later moved to Middletown, Connecticut and attended Cross Street A.M.E. under the leadership of Pastor Harvill. After moving to Middletown, Lottie met the love of her life, Calvin Ready. They were married for 38 years. Lottie will truly be missed by her family and friends. Lottie was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald Levern McCray and Master Calvin Ready; her parents, Louise and Dudley McCray; one brother, William Lee McCray; four sisters, Sarah Butler, Christine McCray, Gloria Pressley and Shandelia McCray. Lottie leaves to cherish her fond memories, her husband of 38 years, Calvin Ready; her children, Veronica McCray of Hemingway, SC, Sabrina Ready of Middletown, CT and Curtis Ready of Middletown, CT; four grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Jabari Pearson of Hemingway, SC, Empress Pinder of Middletown, CT, Quantrell Gibbs of Middletown, CT and Jenaiyla Roberts of Waterbury, CT; five sisters, Lillie Patterson, Betty McCray, Lounether (Earl) Freeman of Middletown, CT, Dorthy (Walter) Eaddy of Kingstree, SC and Laura McCray of Lake City, SC; four brothers, Sam (Dianne) McCray, Dudley McCray, Jr., Willie Joe (Jenny) McCray of Middletown, CT and Michael McCray of Nesmith, SC; two in-laws, Roxanne Hodge of Greenville, SC and Thurman (Danny) Ready of Middletown, CT; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
