Kenyon Tyrell Jacobs

May 1, 1979 - August 7, 2021

Kenyon Tyrell Jacobs was called to his home in heaven on August 7th, 2021. He was born May 1st, 1979 in New Haven, Connecticut to the late Thomas Tommy Lee Bowman and Michele Denise Jacobs in New Haven, Connecticut, and also raised by Wilbert and Ida Wilson. He was educated in the Connecticut School systems attending James Hillhouse High School. He graduated from High School in Connecticut. Kenyon went on to attend Gateway Community College where he focused his course work of study around becoming a Probation Officer. He specialized himself in certification trades such as Construction, Asbestos Abatement, OSHA, First Aid, CPR, and AED. Kenyon grew up attending church service as a member of Morning Star Freewill Holiness Church and was baptized at the age of 13 years old. Kenyon worked full time at The Connection, Inc. as a Client Service Aid. Kenyon also worked at Hertz Car Rental part-time delivering cars and parts to different Hertz Car Rental locations of Connecticut. On his free time, he enjoyed boxing events, video games, and challenging his sons, as well as his brothers to winning quite often. Kenyon was a private person who honored and enjoyed intimate family time with close relatives, especially his children. Kenyon enjoyed his kids and peace more than anything. No matter how tired Kenyon was, he always made room for family time. Kenyon loved to write music and poetry growing up with dreams of becoming a music artist. Kenyon also loved to cook, and would prepare delicious meals for his family, friends, and loved ones often. He was compassionate about meal prep, food services, and always stated that if he could become a professional cook/ chef he was preparing himself for just that while still working towards his dream career and owning a townhouse condominium. Kenyon loved hard and his favorites words of encouragement was telling us " You gonna get involved!" and for that, will be greatly missed. He leaves to cherish his memories to his Grandparents, the late Raymond Bowman, Naomi Ross Bowman, John Reese & Louvenia Brown; Parents, the late Thomas Tommy Lee Bowman, Michele Denise Jacobs, Wilbert Wilson & Ida Wilson; his children Christian Rice, Jordan Joyce, Caiden Jacobs , Rickhie Jacobs, Kevin McFarlane Jr., & Tamilya Williams; Brothers Charles Jenkins & Jamel Jenkins; Sisters Laquisha Jacobs & Marguerita Bowman Kelly, Aunts, Uncles, nephews, nieces Cousins, God Parents, God Sisters, his Companion Ricketta Johnson, and a host of other relatives and friends who loved him deeply.
