Keiron Jones

Keiron Quamari Jones of New Haven, Connecticut gained his wings on Monday, March 21, 2022. He passed away peacefully at the age of 17 years old at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his parents and family members. He was born on December 21, 2004. Keiron liked to play his PS4, and his favorite game was NBA 2K21. His favorite basketball player was Kyrie Irving. In addition, his favorite show was Criminal Minds because he wanted to become a forensic scientist. He loved science. He also wanted to follow his second career path of Marine Biology because the ocean and its inhabitants intrigue him. Creed was his favorite movie because he respected the art of boxing and all the legends. Keiron really enjoyed certain foods: lobster, crab legs, and steak with corn. At the tender age of 7, Keiron accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. With his parents, he attended New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, where the pastors are Reverend Dr. John and Danielle Cotten on Butler Street in New Haven, CT. Keiron attended the New Haven Public school system. At James Hillhouse High school as a Junior, he was beginning to focus on colleges to help further his educational goals. As a High Honors and Honors achiever, he enjoyed his academics. He had lots of friends and classmates who have poured out an abundance of love and shared memories that will forever be in their hearts. There will be a scholarship set-up in Keiron’s name for future science majors. Keiron leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Keir(Wanda) Jones and Lillian Torres nine siblings: Tiffany, Keirianna Jones, Tyla and Tyesha Alexander, Amber, Quavon, Dashon, Kenny Torres, and Troy Alexander Jr. Grandparents: Shirley Kelley and Carmen Torres. Uncles: Terry (Doinyi), Damien (Chery)DaVonish, Eric, Lamar, Charles Torres, Troy (Keisha) and LeRoy Kelley Jr. Aunts: Jes-Tina, Marietta, Viola, Naomi, Bertha, and Tracy Torres, Theas Jones, Carlessia Knight and Shirley Kelley, Special aunts: Kathy and Helen Porto and Jackie Milton. Nephews: Zaiden, Zaire , Aden, and Quavon Jr. Torres Nieces: Ty’Asiah and Honesty God father: Tyrone (Tonya) Moye, God brothers: Tyrone and Trey Moye. Cousins: Eboni, Danielle, Terry, Tay-man, Juan, Ashia, LeRoy, Ericka, K.J., and Jayuan. Special cousins: Alexis, Jenaette- Nay Nay, and a host of extended family and friends to cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his grandmother: Barbara DeVonish, grandfathers: Clarence- (Pop-Pop) Jones, Albert DeVonish, Charles Evans Sr., and Leroy Kelley Sr. Aunt: Karen DeVonish. Uncles: Darrell and Wayne Jones.
