Judy Ann Atkinson

April 17, 1947 - January 11, 2022

Our beloved shining light, Judy Ann Atkinson (Sesler) of New Haven CT, formally of Winter Haven, Fl., transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in her residence with her husband by her side. Mrs. Atkinson was born on April 17, 1947, to the late Eugene and Pearl Agnes Sesler. She graduated from Wilbur L. Cross High School and enjoyed typing and sewing as a youth. She was a devout Christian, loved the Lord, church, and reading scriptures. Mrs. Atkinson was a devoted wife of 54 years, mother, prayer warrior, and loved listening to gospel music. Her passions included being an advocate for the Newhallville community, traveling, shopping, celebrating special occasions, dining, and most of all spending quality time with her family. Mrs. Atkinson is survived by her husband, James Ray Atkinson, Sr., Katherine Ann Atkinson, Jamie Ann Atkinson- Jones (Raymond), Lisa Ann Atkinson-Windross (Frederick, Sr.), James Ray Atkinson, Jr. She was the proud grandmother to Dorian Marcellus Bernard (Kiana), Olivia Shonte Royal- Lipman (Sean), Ariel Jhermonny Bernard, Frederick Owen Windross, Calvin Alexander Windross and great-grandson Melbourne Israel Bernard. Her nephews Eugene, Kelvin, Corey, Steven, and Michael Ricks. Sister-in-law Terri Estee (Michael) and Donald Mcaulay, Jr. Mrs. Atkinson was the last surviving Sesler of her siblings and was predeceased by James, Floyd, Betty, Hazel, Cynthia, Ehennia, Alfred, Freddie, Archie Haskins (Brother), and Shirley Haskin- Brown (Sister). Including in-laws Thomas and Peggy Ricks, George and Ida L. Atkinson (In-laws). She leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends that she loved dearly.
