Joe L. Greene

Joe Lewis Green of New Haven,CT departed this life suddenly on November 23,2020 at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven,CT. He was born January 17, 1943 in Georgetown,S.C. He was the son of the late Maybelle Green and George Dozier. Joe gained his wings with the love of his life of 40+ years Arlissa Cummings. He was educated in the New Haven Public School System and he also served in the United States Army. Joe had a love for cooking and he enjoyed watching his television shows such as “Law & Order” and “Jeopardy” just to name a few. He will sadly be missed by all that loved him. He leaves the cherish his loving memory four sons: Travis DeBois of West Haven,CT, Terry Gallman of New Haven,CT, Jolontrae and Tobias Greene of New Haven,CT; three daughters Novella and Shamona Greene of New Haven,CT and Renata Greene of East Haven,CT, one sister Barbara Jean Greene of Georgetown,S.C, sixteen grandchildren Rodnisha Greene. Tavon Greene,Joey Greene, Travis DeBois Jr., Avery DeBois, Theodore DeBois,Julius DeBois, Aeriana Gallman, Chavon Gallman, Teraji Gallman, Jolontrae Greene Jr., Gianna Greene, Arnanni Telford,Tobias Greene Jr., Toure’ Greene and Tyson Greene; three great grandchildren Dionnie McLaurin, Ashton and Messiah; one nephew Jeremy Davis and and two nieces Jimisha Davis and Maya Davis along with a very special companion his dog sparky and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother Henry Greene, one sister Priscilla Davis, one aunt Ella Cooper and one uncle Benjamin Green.
