Evon Moore

July 3, 1950 - May 7, 2022

Evon Credle Moore was born July 3, 1950, to Christine Credle Howard and the late James Mann in Pantego, North Carolina. Evon entered enteral rest on May 7, 2022, in New Haven, Connecticut after a brief illness. She came to New Haven, Connecticut at an early age, where she lived until her passing. She attended Wilbur Cross High School for a year. She left Wilbur Cross to attend Job Corps where she graduated with a diploma in Secretarial Science. Evon was employed by Southern New England Telephone Company after graduation. She worked there for numerous years before becoming disabled. Evon loved the Lord and she loved to pray. She liked to make you laugh, she always had jokes. Evon watched scary movies, played computer games, and did crossword puzzles. She loved to cook and eat. Evon leaves to cherish her memory. Her mother Christine Howard. Daughters Gemma (Arnold) Greene and Ivonna Hart. Son Lynwood (Desiree) Morgan. Grandchildren Gerome, T’Rome, Corrilisha, and Amber Telford. John'ae Hart, Ky’lir Moore, La’niya, Ashari, Kilyn, Andre, and Joshua Morgan. Great grandchildren Amiyah and Makhai Telford, Brian Aranjo lll, Davina Telford, Aaliyah Brown, Noah Telford, and Amilah Aranjo. Brothers Robert E. Howard, Christopher (Faith) Howard, Thomas (Lisa) Howard. Sisters Pamela Jones and Georgia (Eric) Providence and special friend Maurice Battle. A host of relatives and friends. Evon was predeceased by her father James Mann, her stepfather Robert G. Howard, and brother James (Jamesboy) Credle. Evon will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
