Elaine (Freeka) Bryant, 62 of New Haven, Ct departed this life on January 1, 2022 in the comfort of her home. She was born on April 17, 1959 in New Haven, Ct to the late Norwood James Bryant Sr. and Marian Rebecca Bryant. She was educated in the New Haven Public School System and was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant. She had one son Tynel Bryant. She was predeceased by father Norwood James Bryant Sr. and brothers Alphonso Bryant and Norwood James Bryant Jr. To cherish her memories, Elaine leaves son Tynel Bryant, daughter in love Nicole Bryant, and granddaughters Dajah, Ava, and Angel Bryant of East Haven, Ct. She also leaves mother Marian Bryant; brothers Marvin Bryant (Marie), James A. Bryant, Michael Bryant; sisters Sybrina Kay (Gerard), and Dorinda Bryant (Jorge), all of New Haven, Ct.; best friends Gloria Blakeny and Fareddia Streater; long time partner David Galberth and a host of nieces and nephews. Elaine’s pride and joy were her grandchildren or bean heads as she affectionately referred to them as. She looked forward to their weekend visits, walks to Edgewood Park, and bus rides. They loved watching America’s Funniest Videos together. She made her grandchildren the center of her attention and could not wait to get back to doing what they enjoyed together. She was the family peacemaker and she never bit her tongue. She could always be counted on for advice. Elaine loved her family to the upmost, especially her mom, always ensuring her mom was cared for even in her failing health. Elaine (Freeka) Bryant will be missed.
