Diane Longshore

March 6, 1959 - February 28, 2022

Diane Loretta Longshore of New Haven passed away on February 28th, 2022. Diane was born on March 6, 1959, the youngest child to the late Helen Roundtree Longshore and Daniel Lee Longshore in New Haven, Connecticut. She grew up and was raised in the Hill section of New Haven; she attended New Haven public schools and graduated from Richard C. Lee High School. She attended Gateway Community College / South Central Community College achieving Associates degrees in Human Services and Early Childhood Education. She attended Stone School of Business achieving a degree in Word Processing Specialist and had other training certificates. She was employed at various jobs with Yale University - Boyer Center, Medical Group, Cancer Center, and the Yale Child Study Center. She also worked for the New Haven Board of Education, K & G Fashion Retailing and Continuum of Care and Marrakech. Diane loved music and singing, dancing, cookout gatherings, and parties with friends and family. She loved to laugh and loved to be seen. Diane was full of life and loved people. Diane is survived by her four siblings: Cynthia Longshore (Atlanta, GA), Anthony Longshore (Beulah Tilley) of Hamden, Vashtye Harper (Anthony), and Carolyn Pizer (Harold) of New Haven and cousins, Ronald Byrd of Hamden and Oscar Walker of South Carolina and other relatives. There will be a gathering of family and friends at 12:00pm after the service at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06511. The family would like to thank family members, the Immanuel Baptist Church family, friends, and neighbors, for their prayers, love and support.
