Dewayne Eaddy Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dewayne Eaddy, 50, of New Haven, CT, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on June 27, 2022. Dewayne was born on February 24, 1972 to Charles Eaddy, Sr. and Betty Davis. He grew up with his brother, Charles Eaddy, Jr. When he was young, he loved spending his time playing sports. He attended James Hillhouse High School with the class of 1991 and played football for the team. This sparked his passion for the game. He was a true blue Dallas Cowboys fan. Over the years, Dewayne developed life-long friendships with Larry Greene, Virgil Harrell, Jr., Andre Johnson, Michael Hailey, Tom Dunlap, Anthony Palmer, Tim, Thomas Connor, Brigitte Maybank Smith of Snellville, GA. and special longtime friend Una Murphy. Dewayne enjoyed going to football games with his friends, traveling to South Carolina to visit family and speaking with his favorite uncle, Sonny. Dewayne fathered a beautiful daughter, Alexus, with Shironda Burgess and two athletic sons, Aaron and Tyrell, with Lawanda Brown. His children were the most important part of his life. Being a kind, devoted, and dependable father was of the utmost concern to Dewayne and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his children. Dewayne is survived by his sons, Aaron and Tyrell Eaddy; father, Charles Eaddy, Sr.; brother, Charles Eaddy, Jr. of North Carolina; brother David Eleazer of New Haven, a sister Cassandra Sherman of West Haven, CT. and his grandmother, Mary Davis of Hemingway, SC. He also leaves behind godchildren Amos Ford, Jhana Blake, Kiara Wiggins, Krystal Myers, and Tyreek Perkins. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Betty Davis and daughter, Alexus Eaddy. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Temple Church on July 13, 2022 at 11 am. There will be visitation at the same location beginning at 10 am. Internment will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park.
