Cynthia Douglas
July 9, 1970 - January 16, 2022
Cynthia B. Douglas was born July 9, 1970 in New Haven, CT to the late Frank and Bernice Bruno. She moved to Chicago with family prior to returning to settle in Connecticut. She attended and graduated from Austin High School in Chicago. Cynthia never forgot her hometown, Chicago, or her roots. She returned to Chicago at least once a year. Cynthia was married to Fredrick Douglas who she loved dearly. Cynthia attended First Calvary Baptist Church in New Haven, Connecticut, and when she didn’t attend church, she would still read her bible and pray. Cynthia was most passionate about family. No matter time, distance, ups or downs, family is what she held to heart the most. Her desire to go above and beyond for her loved ones and those in need is what provided her with true happiness. That passion also carried over to her work as a Home Health Aide Cynthia loved animals and enjoyed cooking. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Cynthia’s memory will be cherished dearly by her husband, Fredrick Douglas; her father, Richard Barrett, Sr.; three children, Daniel Brown, Sharee Bruno and Kiresha Godfrey; three grandchildren, Zavion Maebry, Lyric Drew and Robert Epps, Jr.; her mother-in-law, Mattie Douglas; two sisters-in-law, Deelinda Douglas and Lisa Douglas; thirteen siblings, Wanda Smith, Kim Bruno, Dulce Stewart, Frank Bruno, Mike Marina, Amber, Ms. CJ, Richard Barrett, Jr., Matthew Barrett, Terrien Barrett, Yvonne McCoy, Kody Barrett and Mark Barrett; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. We Will Never Say Goodbye
