Ciera Jones Whitfield of New Haven CT entered eternal rest on July 7, 2021. Ciera was born to Darlene Galberth and the late Carl Lee Jones Sr , she was then adopted at age 6 by Eddie and Carol Whitfield where she grew up in a blended household of 8 Children, she became a key part of their family. Ciera would then grow up in their home on Star st which would later be known as the infamous “star block” which was home to her. Ciera attended New Haven Public School system where she gratuated and received her high school diploma from James Hill House High School. Everyone who knew Ciera knew that she loved her family and all those close to her. She would make sure that she told you she loved you every time she got the chance. Ciera fostered Strong relationships with all those in her life and built bonds that could not be easily broken. Ciera also had a special kind of mothering love for children although she didn’t have any of her own She took on strong roles in her nieces and nephews life and a special young boy Noel foster who she was like a 2nd Mother to. Ciera was loved by so many and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Ciera is survived by her parents Eddie and Carol Whitfield, her biological Mother Darlene Galberth, her Grandparents George and Celestine Smith, her siblings Devonte Jones Whitfield , Carl Jones Whitfield, Doreen Galberth, Daire Galberth, Shamar Whitfield , Salomon Barnes, Celeste Whitfield and Thomaseana Whitfield, Cheryl Foreman and Jennifer Foreman. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, Nephews, relatives, and friends who love her deeply and will miss her more than words can say.Ciera was predeceased by Her Father Carl Lee Jones Sr, Paternal GrandParents Frank Bellamy and Frances Sanders, and Maternal Grandmother Doreen Grant.
