Carl Shefton

February 24, 1937 - February 5, 2022

Carl D Shefton affectionally known as Hambone was born February 24th, 1937, in Florence South Carolina to the late Minnie & George Shefton Carl Shefton departed his life on February 5th, 2022 And entered heaven his eternal home. Carl Shefton grew up in South Carolina where he helped and worked on the family farm with his dad George Shefton. Until his late teenage years where he left home to join the army as a private in 1955. And finished on honorable discharge in 1957.soon after that he move to New Haven CT and worked for the Winchester gun factory until it closed then later, he worked for the ui company for many years to where he retired as a line man. Carl loved playing card games with his special friends having company talking about the old times he served in the army. The long days and nights he worked throughout his life he enjoyed. He had a very special passion for children especially his grand & great grandchildren, children that wasn’t his own whom he welcomed open arms to and helped in any way he could. Ham had a beautiful loving soul to whoever he encountered stranger or acquaintance his mains sayings is save money money will save you & do the right thing good things will always come to u. After long illnesses he decided to be home where his daughter Tracey and granddaughter Carla cared for him along with in home hospice until he passed on peacefully at home on his bedside as he wished. Carl leaves to mourn; His brother James Shefton(md) His sisters; Georgia Shefton(NC), Sarah Shefton(NC), His Son Tyrone Shefton(LA), His Daughters; Tracey Douglas(CT), Aquila Shamsid’Deen(CT), His Grandchildren; Kevin Bradix jr, Carla Bradix(CT), Shawn Hammie Sr(CT), Earline Crocker(CT), Thomas Crocker(CT), Andrea Douglas(CT), Toni Alvis(CT), Akila Shamsid’Deen(CT), Kamal Shamsid’Deen(CT), Kareem Shamsid’Deen(CT),Alex Stanley Shefton(LA),Adam Stanley Shefton(LA),Isaac Stanley Shefton(LA),Aja Stanley Shefton(LA),Rhonda Gwendolyn Stanley Shefton(LA), And a host of Great Grandchildren & Friends who he deeply loved and cherished. Carl was predeceased by his daughter; Charnee Hoover (CT), His grandson; Tyler Elijah Stanley Shefton (LA) and a host of siblings.
