Annie Cooper (Annie Pearl Tyson, Annie P. Cooper, Annie T. Cooper) Blessed Book opened 3/05/49 - Sunset Reading 5/19/21. Annie Pearl known to some relatives as Snoot, was born in Greensville N.C., Lived in Philadelphia PA, Bangor Maine, then finally New Haven Ct. A Cross High School & SCCC graduate who majored in Secretarial Sciences. She worked several jobs until retirement. A single mother who raised 3 children while obtaining a college degree, at the same time, working. Annie was a hard-worker, strong, nurturing, caring, warm-hearted, sincere, a peacemaker, and a daughter of God. She learned her goodness/spirituality/strength from her grandmother Daisy Tyson Smith, which she carried throughout her lifetime. She treated everyone with respect, a welcoming smile, a "HELLO" , a meal or coffee, chitter-chatter (Gift of Gab), a hug, laughter, advise, a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to hear. Her passions: Reading, cooking, and plants. She shared them with anyone. Could make a mean sweet potato pie and cabbage (ha, ha). Predeceased by parents Thelma L. Mills & Charles Tyson of N.C.; James S. Cooper, Sr of Maine (married 1968-1976), Grandmother Daisy T. Smith, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Survived by sons James Jr & Adam Cooper, daughter Stacey Cooper. Grandchildren Apreia Cooper, Alayasia (Lay/Yasi) Cooper, Alissa Cooper, and Jamelie Cooper. Great-grandsons Christian G. Gardner & Collin Cooper-Claxton. "Little Sister" Thelma M. Peterson, Cousins Dazell McKiver, Esther Cloman, and other family, friends, and acquaintances.
