Willie Young

“Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” Willie J. Young unexpectedly passed away and gained his wings to be with The Lord on June 03, 2025. He was born in Luverne, AL, born and raised in New Haven, CT to Mrs. Bobby Young and the late Mr. James F. Young. He was known for the nickname "Chill-Will" to some, but he was mainly known as “Head” to all. He knew so many people, he was loved by so many, he has touched so many lives with that beautiful smile that'll light up the room, Will was someone who couldn't be duplicated nor be replaced. Will was known for loving to listen to his music, always loved to grill and cook, a beast at playing basketball, and most importantly; he enjoys having a great time with friends and family. He was the Peace Maker of the Family; He was a loving Son, an Awesome Brother, a Wonderful Father, a Good Grandfather, a Cool Uncle, a Great Cousin, and most of all, a True Friend to many people that knew him. Willie left behind his mother Bobby J. Young (New Haven, CT), two children Jacqueline Bradley (New Haven, CT), Noah Young (West Haven, CT), two grandchildren, his two siblings who he called his Road Dogs and his Bestfriends; Torefto J. Young (Prince A) (New Haven, CT), and Lauretta Young (New Haven, CT), along with his nieces and nephew; Shaniva Young (Charles S) (New Haven, CT,) Treazure Alexander (New Haven, CT,) Robert Young (New Haven, CT,) and last but not least, his Great-Niece Shylo Young (New Haven, CT.) He has (5) Aunts and (5) Uncles, he also leaves behind a host of family and friends. He was predeceased by his father James Frank Young (New Haven, CT), his grandparents Rosie L. Salters (New Haven, CT), Thomas Provo (Akron, OH), Gussie M. Foster (Luverne, AL), and James F. Young Sr (Luverne, AL), his niece Angel T. Harris (New Haven, CT), and also his aunts and uncles is Mary Myers (New Haven, CT), Willie R. Foster (Houston, TX), Mary J. Mullins (Enterprise, AL), John Robert Foster (Greenville, AL). “Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” “Private Service only and Memorial at a later date.
