William Dimbo III

William Dimbo III was born on August 30, 1975 to William Dimbo Jr. and Deborah Dimbo. He was born and raised in New Haven, CT. He attended Grant Elementary, Davis Street School, East Rock, and Wilbur Cross High School. From High School he enrolled in the Army Reserve where he served for 4 years. In 1998, William became a Father for the first time. His son, William Alexzander Dimbo was his pride and joy. He was very active in his son’s life since birth. Although Will was hoping for a daughter, even had a name picked out, (Alexis) he loved his son unconditionally. However, 6 years later, he got his daughter, Suleiris Alexis Dimbo. Whom he loved and spent time with equally. William loved his children and would do whatever he could for them. In 2006, he married Suleima, his daughter’s Mother. Although the marriage didn’t last, they remained good friends. During his adult life, he was employed by Yale New Haven Hospital for nearly ten years. After leaving Yale, he worked at an automotive company until it closed down in 2017. William then enrolled in Porter and Chester in pursuit of his HVAC certification. He leaves to cherish his memory, his Mother Deborah Dimbo, his Father William Dimbo Jr., his son, William Alexzander Dimbo, (Takima) his daughter, Suleiris Alexis Dimbo, (Suleima), a brother, Quintin Dimbo-Moore, a sister, Yolanda Adkins, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. Will was a huge sports fan and one of his favorite pass times was watching the Yankees with his Mother. He was also a Cowboys fan and predicted that they would go to the playoffs this year. But if you really wanted to get under his skin, all you had to ask him was how the Giants were doing and his response would be, “quit playing with my emotions”. William was known as Will or Dimbo to most was a man of little words, but had a big heart. He would literally give you the shirt off of his back. Dimbo was dependable, funny, and had a smile that would make you smile! He will truly be missed. The Family would like to extend their gratitude for the out pour of love and support during their time of grief. Don’t cry for me today, I wouldn’t want it this way. Be strong and smile, for you will see me in a while.
