Terrence White

Terrence, affectionately known as “Mousey”, 47 years of age of New Haven, CT passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Terrence was born in New Haven, Connecticut on February 18, 1977 to Robin White-Leonard and the late Larry Woods. Terrence received his education in New Haven public schools, Job Corp of Torrington, CT. Terrence completed culinary arts, graduated from Fayetteville Community College and pursued further studies in cosmetology at a trade school. He dedicated himself to a career as a barber (Flava in Ya Hair, Studio Jay25 and Executive Cuts) forming lasting connections with those he served. From a young age, Terrence embarked on a spiritual journey that led him to become a member of Skeninah Faith Temple under the guidance of his godfather, Apostle Gary B. Mclaurin, and Tawanda Mclaurin, where he served as a musician. As his faith evolved, he found his final church home at God’s Miracles Unlimited Outreach Ministries, where he continued to share his musical talents under the leadership of Bishop Howard and Pastor Peggy Joyner. Terrence was known as the life of the party, always bringing laughter and joy to his family and friends. His deep passion for music shown through his vibrant personality, contagious smile, compassionate spirit, and selfless nature. His legacy of love and kindness will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Terrence is survived by his wife Janice, his children, Naomi (Jasmine) Whitehead-Young Tykell White, Terrence White Jr., stepchildren Nika Douglas, Desire Sessions (Drew), Nathaniel Sessions, Grandmother Cecile Lewis Woods, Annie McLaurin (Spiritual Mother) Patricia Douglas (Mother in law), Jerome (Angela) Moody (Father in law), brothers Daniel Penn, Katanga Sanford (Sheree), Samuel David, J’nard McLaurin (God bother), Michael McLaurin (God bother), Bishop Nathaniel McLaurin(God brother) sisters Shonta’ Deboise, Geneva(Anthony) White- Lloyd, Tajuana Vincent (God sister), Candice River (God sister) D’ajuana Outlaw (God sister) nieces Dominique, Diamond, Dorothy, Larae, Adaisja, Samiyia, London, Olivia. Nephews Deon, Christopher, John, James, Xavier, Daniel. Great nephews Zacharias and Jaydin. Uncles Elijah White Jr., Sherman White, Calvin White, Wayne McLaurin, Keith McLaurin, Greg McLaurin, Eudell Scott McKinnie, Hennon Woods, Charles Woods and Charlton Woods. Aunts Teresa (Ferando) Gambrell, Pamela McLaurin, Michelle (Tommy) McLaurin-Dixon, Dorothy Banks and Barbara Holden. As well as a host of remarkable cousins and close friends. He is predeceased by Larry Woods, Geneva White, Elijah White, Sheila White, Eugene White, Larry Woods Sr., Annette Woods-Spears, Reginald Spears, Sandra Woods Holmes, Tasha Woods, Douglas Boykin and Kyssandra Miller.
