ShaQuanda L. Hardison

ShaQuanda Lareese Hardison was born on July 2, 1988 to Tony Hardison and Deidre Peterson. She entered into eternal rest on October 29, 2025. ShaQuanda was educated in the Bridgeport Public School System and graduated from Warren Harding High School. As a child, she attended Holy Tabernacle COGIC until adulthood under the leadership of Bishop Ivory W. Holden. During her childhood years, ShaQuanda loved participating in church events and neighborhood drill teams. She also loved roller skating, taking pictures and having sleepovers with her cousins. She mastered the art of braiding hair, showcasing her sense of style, and she loved cooking as well. She would create all kinds of delicious dishes and sauces and then encourage us to try them ALL. ShaQuanda had a special way of bringing people together, whether at family cookouts, parties or simple get-togethers. Her heart was full of love for family and friends, and her radiant smile and infectious laughter could light up any room. Many of her friendships began in childhood and continued throughout her life. With her, friends became family, with every memory, laugh and heart-to-heart conversation cherished. Her caring and loving spirit flowed into her career, leading her to become a CNA. Later, she made the decision to attend Porter and Chester Institute to advance her skills to become a Medical Assistant .ShaQuanda then furthered her education at Housatonic Community College, becoming a certified Pharmacy Technician. She used her skills while working at various healthcare facilities and agencies during her adult years. ShaQuanda's greatest blessing was when she gave birth to her son, Quanell. He was her pride and joy, the center of her world. She was incredibly proud of the young man that he is becoming. Her love for him was endless, unconditional and knew no bounds. Her memory will live on through the laughter she inspired, the love she shared and the many hearts she touched along the way. ShaQuanda leaves to cherish her memory her son Quanell, her unborn grandchild, one godson, four brothers, Anthony Banks (NC), Darryl Peterson (CT), Robert S. Hardison (NJ) and Julian Linthicum (Amber) (TX), seventeen nephews and nieces, twenty-five uncles and aunts, six sister friends, a special mother-in-love and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents George and Elizabeth Hardison and maternal grandparents Earnestine P. Gee, William Eaton and John Peterson, Sr.
