Reginald Tyrone Jenkins Sr., affectionately known as “Tyrone,” departed this life unexpectedly on May 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable warmth. A devoted husband, father, family man, and friend, Tyrone had a spirit that could brighten any room and a heart that made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Known for his wisdom, unwavering loyalty, deep faith, and infectious humor, he carried himself with grace and compassion in every season of life. Gifted in both culinary arts and carpentry, Tyrone found joy in creating with his hands and sharing his talents with others. He had a special compassion for underserved communities and individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities, always willing to offer encouragement, support, or simply a listening ear. Above all, he treasured his family and embraced the role of father and provider with pride and unconditional love. Though his earthly presence will be deeply missed, the love he gave, the lessons he shared, and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. Reginald now rests peacefully reunited with his beloved sister, Jennifer Nicole Jenkins-Green. Reginald Tyrone Jenkins Sr. leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Nancy Andaluz- Jenkins; his devoted mother, Teresa Cox (Larry Turner); father, George Simms (Brenda Simms); sisters, La Tonya Shantel Graham (Louis Graham), Debra Sue Jenkins, and Jessica Sims; two beloved nieces, Jazzlyn Alliyah Graham and Skyla Lavonn Graham; nephew, Kordell Ryan Green; his cherished children, Reginald Tyrone Jenkins Jr., Rae-Jon Tyrell Jenkins, and Essence Riemenschneider; and his adored granddaughters, Octavia Maraelynn Riemenschneider and Laniyah Tylee Jenkins, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory. Though he is no longer with us physically, his spirit and love will remain in our hearts forever. A Celebration of Life service honoring Reginald Tyrone Jenkins Sr. will be held on May 30, 2026, at Cathedral of Higher Praise COGOP, 155 Grand Ave, New Haven, CT, at 9:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the beautiful life he lived.
