Norman Reynolds

With saddened hearts, we come together to share the passing of Norman Sebastian Reynolds, who passed peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the age of 56. He was born on May 7, 1969, in Waterbury, CT, and was the cherished son of Lorraine and the late Norman H. Reynolds. Norman, affectionately known as “Sasa”, moved through life with love for everyone, especially those closest to him. He deeply cherished his family, sharing a closeness rooted in love that meant everything to him. His friends also held a special place in his life, and he valued those relationships just as deeply. He treated all people the same - with genuine kindness, respect, and an open heart that made everyone feel welcomed. He had a natural sense of humor and was guaranteed to have you laughing by the time you were done. He didn’t judge others and made everyone feel accepted. He was always ready to lend a hand and never met a stranger - because even if he didn’t know you at first, by the time he was done, you were a friend. He didn’t hold grudges; no matter how many times you got on his nerves, it was always love the next time you saw him. He would go out of his way to help his family and anyone in need, always putting others before himself, and he forgave almost instantly. He had an infectious smile and gave unforgettable hugs. He was a devoted and loving Son, Father, Brother, and Partner. He leaves behind a circle of loved ones who will hold his memory in their hearts forever: his Mother, Lorraine; his Brother, Iver “Raydell” Battle (Akeiva); and his Sisters Angela M. Battle and Valencia T. Reynolds. He also leaves behind his Daughters, Hailey Renee Reynolds and Sakiya Janay Hewitt. He was a proud Grandfather to Adrian, Inara, Na’zair, and Ja’Mih. He is also survived by his Nephews: Jamell, Duane, Julian, William, Erique, and Taj’amar; Great Nephew, Apollo; Nieces, Anteeshra L. Battle of Tampa, FL, Nastassia Battle of Atlanta, GA, Rajé, Monaé, and Auraya; Great Nieces, Maya, and Leniah. He also leaves behind his Special Cousin, Nancy J. Vincent, along with many other loving cousins, uncles, and aunts who meant so much to him. The family would like to recognize and extend a special, genuine thank you to his Fiancée and companion of four years, Mone’t Barfield, along with her Sons, Jani L. and Jalahn Waters, and Grandchildren, Gabriella and Jani K., whom he loved as his own. Their relationship was built on love and always found its way back, no matter what came their way. Mone’t went above and beyond, surrounding him with love, care, and unshakeable support. That same love extended beyond Norman – she also cared for Auntie Lizzie (Sneakie) as her caregiver and showed continued love and support to the family whenever it was needed. We cannot thank you enough, Mone’t, for the love and endless support you gave to our Sasa, who meant so much to us. The Reynolds/Battle Family want to give a sincere thank you to everyone who showed up for us - whether it was a phone call, a message, a visit, or just by keeping us in your prayer. The overwhelming outpouring of love and support during our family’s time on the front row has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated and will continue to carry us through the days ahead. A special thank you to those who stood ten toes down for Sasa, showing him real love, support, and care through this thing called life. That love meant everything to him, and it means everything to us. “Sasa now rests in eternal peace, reunited with his father, who passed on Friday, March 1, 1996, also at the age of 56.”
