Moet Maurice Bacote

Moet Maurice Bacote departed this life on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was born June 25, 1994, in New Haven, Connecticut to parents Willona Ferguson and Maurice Bacote. In his youth, Moet spent a lot of his time at Your Place youth center where he joined several groups and performed in different shows. In 2012, he graduated from Cooperative Arts and Humanity High School where he was a member of the school choir. After high school, he went on to attend Gateway Community College. Moet loved to sing. He was a major music lover and super fan of Mariah Carey. A few months ago, he was able to see her in concert for the very first time. Moet was employed at Continuum of Care as a Direct Care Service Worker. He will be remembered as a free-spirited person who lived his life to the fullest. He had a passion for traveling and spent a lot of time cruising to the beautiful islands of the Caribbean. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, shopping, and hanging out with friends and family, often spending time with his grandparents Charles and Dorothy Ferguson. There was no bond stronger that could equate to the one he had with them. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Willona Ferguson of New Haven, Connecticut and father Maurice Bacote Sr. of Poughkeepsie,New York; three sisters, Ebony Brown, Kenniyah Graham, and Moneisha Hamilton of New Haven, Connecticut; three brothers, Carlos Brown, Maurice Bacote Jr. and Andre Bacote of New Haven, Connecticut; three aunts, Angela Gore, Patricia Duarte and Charlene Preston(Phillip) of Hamden, Connecticut; three uncles Charles Ferguson Jr. (Beverly) of Varina, North Carolina; Reginald Ferguson(Voleta) of New Haven, Connecticut; Andre Bacote of Queens, New York; Maternal Grandparents, Charles and Dorothy Ferguson of Hamden, Connecticut; He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Margaret Bacote and Uncle, Eric Bacote. He also leaves behind his Godmother, Brenda Edwards of New Haven, Connecticut; Godson, Tyler Iassogna of New Haven, Connecticut; Best friends, Jade Ellison of Houston, Texas; Delvonte Sampson, Julia Iassogna , Lainee Burnette, Diamond Tracey, Mahogany Mignott and Ameia Cato all of New Haven, Connecticut; Three nephews, and a host of other aunts, uncles and cousins, who he loved dearly.
