Lloyd Dorsey

Lloyd P. Dorsey, unexpectedly transitioned at his home on June 15, 2025. Affectionately known as “Pumpkin” by his Family, and PHENOMENO , by his industry friends, Lloyd was born in New Haven, CT on March 7, 1975, to the late Jannie Mae Dorsey and Clifford Craft. Lloyd was a 1993 Graduate of James Hill House High School in New Haven. Lloyd has worked as a Residential Instructor at Community Social Integration and was currently employed as a Community Support Assistant with Continuum of Care, INC. Lloyd adored his children, cherished his Siblings and had personal relationships with all his cousins, who all felt they had unique connections with him. In Addition, Lloyd was loved and cared for by a plethora of friends, associates, Co-workers and Colleagues in the Music Industry. Lloyd was a MC and Poet in his own right and had a love for Words. He was philosophical, aware and woke! Lloyd was an avid San Fransico 49ers fan and often wore his 49ers gear to show his loyalty. He was also a fan of the NBA Team the Chicago Bulls. His friends and family described him as a real soldier, king and poet (MC), (Infamous P), PHENOMENO light, Phenomeno&#55356;�&#55356;� was his nick name but he really was a Phenomenal dude, 'PHENOMENO- THE EXTRA-ordinary MC" DORSEY , He was definitely a real one, loyal dude who always showed love to those he knew, to a real soldier, king and poet ( MC) the ’Phenomenal’ one ( MC), supportive, Loyal, smooth, a well-dressed brother and was cooler than the other side of the pillow, an Amazing Spirit Lloyd was predeceased by his Beloved Mother, Jannie Mae Dorsey, and his Maternal and Paternal grandparents. Lloyd is survived by his Loving Sons, Lloyd Dorsey, Isaiah Dorsey, Joshua Dorsey and Jonathan Dorsey; father, Pastor, Clifford Craft ( Gwen); Brothers: Ronald Dorsey (Johnisha); Randy Dorsey, of New Haven, CT, Minister, James Dorsey (Renee), of Nesmith, SC; Thomas Powell, Hamden, CT; William Pitts (Melanie), of Athens, GA; Jeffrey Carter (Rochelle), of Virginia Beach, VA; Sisters, Cynthia Craft-Bass, Wanda Craft, of Athens, GA; Sunny Jones (Curtis) of Alabama; Vivian Pitts, of Athens, GA; Vanessa Yancy (Carlos) of Bradenton, FL; Sha-Kim Craft-Boyd (Larry), Sha’Priest Robinson (Mario) of Athens, GA; Shuantee’ Craft, of Kisseme, FL; Aunts: Ermanise Green and Caletha McCrea of Nesmith, SC; an uncle: Linwood (Eloise) Dorsey of West Haven, CT. along with nephews, cousins, and friends.
