Katherine Bradley, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday June 3, 2024, with her 2 children by her side. She was 68 years old and lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. She is pre-deceased by her parents Roscoe and Lucille Bradley (New Haven CT), sisters Mildred Clayburn Dennis (Rancho Cucamonga CA), Joanne Richardson Cue (Hamden CT), Roslyn Bradley Ferguson (New Haven CT), and brother Donald Bradley (New Haven CT). A Life of Love and Song Katherine was born in New Haven, CT on February 23, 1956, to the late Lucille and Roscoe Bradley. At an early age, she discovered her passion for music and entertaining. Whether singing hymns in church or Anita Baker in her living room, Katherine's melodies carried a sense of comfort and joy. Her kitchen was her stage, and the aroma of her cooking was her symphony. Katherine's culinary talents were legendary. Her sweet potato pies and banana pudding were works of art that brought family and friends together. The kitchen was where she shared stories, laughter, family secrets, and recipes. A Legacy of Love Katherine was a devoted mother to her two children, Tierney Pappas and David Bradley (New Haven CT). She instilled in them the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience. As they grew, she was their biggest cheerleader and always celebrated their achievements. Her love was unwavering. But Katherine's heart expanded beyond her immediate family. She adored her six grandchildren, Nigel Moore (New Haven CT), Anysia Menafee (Richmond VA) Ahndiya and Zyiara Bradley (Hamden CT), Anyla Pickett (New Haven CT), Zaryonna Brown (New Haven CT) and great-grandson Amil Marsai Person. She also leaves on to cherish her memory her siblings, Jerome C. Richardson Sr (Waterbury CT), Steven Bradley (New Haven CT), Evelyn Beasley (New Haven CT), and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A Final Note As we gather to celebrate Katherine's life, we remember her laughter, her singing, her big hugs and kisses, and the taste of her homemade cooking.
