Juan Vega Jr.

Juan was born January 14, 1988 in New Haven to Elizabeth and Juan Vega. He grew up attending First Star of Jacob Christian Church in New Haven. While there, he was very involved in Royal Rangers. That is where he developed a love for football, drumming and basketball. He actively participated with the local youth ministry. In 1993, Juan lost his father. However, two great men stepped in and helped raise him at different points in his life. Juan attended Wilbur Cross High School and New Haven Adult Education. Along the way, he acquired seven friends that were closer than the brother he never had. On February 8, 2008 his pride and joy, Jediah “JJ” was born. He loved spending time with son, he was so proud of him and spoke about him every chance he got. Juan was a goofball who loved his family and those dearest to him. He loved to watch football, his favorite team was the New York Giants. He most certainly was obsessed with them at a young age. Drawing was another great passion of his; playing video games, watching wrestling and cooking was a great way to connect to his family and friends. He could make you smile and laugh no matter how you felt. His smile was contagious, and his laugh could brighten up your day. He would love you with all he had. He has touched and impacted so many lives with his energy, love, and compassion. It will forever be in the memory and hearts of those close to him. He leaves behind his Mother: Elizabeth “Lisa” Baez; Sisters: Elizabethmarie, Marisol, Marilis; Son: Jediah Juan Vega & his mother Crystal Rodriguez & his siblings: Gracielly & Gabriel Jr ; his Brothers not by blood but by bond:Abraham Carlos, Manuel, Glenn, Garrison, Gartrell, Garnett & Vince; Brother in laws: Daniel & Charles; Nieces & Nephews: Daniel, Arycelis, Charles, Joshua, Reynaldo, Natasha, Manuel, Aniyah & Ariana; Aunts & Uncles: Nancy, Daisy, Eddie, Elton, Milagros, Dawn, Marilyn, Chey, Amelia & Mercedez; Second Parents: Glenn & Jackie, Carlos & Shirley “Chunky”, & Frank & Rosa; Grandmother: Esther Santiago, Shirley Criscuolo & Eva Rivera;Stepfather's Wilson Valentin and Gilberto Rivera and many cousins whom he loved dearly.
