James Pitts

James Pitts, 58 of New Haven, CT. entered eternal rest on November 7,2021. James was born in New Haven, Ct on August 24, 1963. Born to Father James Pitts (deceased) and Mother Elder Ulia Pitts. James graduated from the Hamden School District. James obtained his associate degree at Gateway Community College and was pursuing his bachelor's degree. He spent his entire life working and always had a story to share. He was currently employed by Fed Ex as a package handler. James was a kind and loving person; he would help anyone in need. He believed he was a handy man and was willing to fix anything, but there were no guarantee things would be fixed properly, but he always tried his best. James was a member of Christian Union Full Gospel Church under the leadership of Apostle Eunice Tucker and Pastor Berndette Moore. James loved the word of God as well as his church family. James served on many auxiliaries in the church (Men on the move Choir, Usher Board, Senior Choir and worked in the food pantry) just to name a few. James loved food, whenever there was an event and food was served, he was there. If anybody had leftovers, you could count on him to take them off their hands. Everyone wondered how a small man could eat so much. James was known as "Uncle" to all the kids. He loved his nephews and nieces tremendously. He had nicknames for all his nephews and nieces. He couldn't wait to meet his great niece Callie. James was also a caretaker for his elderly mother. James will truly be missed, truly. James leaves behind to cherish his memory, Mother Elder Ulia Pitts of New Haven, sisters Priscilla Pitts of Hamden and Jacqueline Bellino of Hamden, Nephews Marques Pitts of Hamden and Charles Bellino (Rahnique) of New Haven, Nieces Marquia Mitchell (Sajib) of New haven, Charlisha Bellino of Hamden and Ebony Pitts of Pennsylvania, great-nephews Damar Pitts of New haven, Carter and Cayden Bellino of New haven, great nieces Deliah and Sakia Mitchell of New Haven along with a host of family and friends who loved him dearly. James was predeceased by Father James Pitts and nephews Tyquan Pitts and John Ratliff Jr. The family would like to express gratitude to McClam Funeral Home. Thank you so much.
