Isaac Gallishaw

Isaac Gallishaw was born August 28,1951 in Lane, South Carolina to the late Moses and Valentine Gallishaw. He was educated in the South Carolina school system and graduated from C. E. Murray Highschool in Greelyville, South Carolina. Isaac made his way to New Haven, CT in 1974. He worked for General Rental and New Haven register for many years. Isaac spent the last 18 years working in food service at the Maritime Center where he retired in 2020. Isaac passed away peacefully on August 14, 2021 at his home. Isaac was a Deacon at Macedonia Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Pastor Juanita Dinkins. Isaac begin his spiritual journey at Now Faith and Truth Ministries. Isaac was a member of King Solomon Lodge #62, he was a kind spirit who loved God and loved his family without limits. Issac enjoyed fishing and you could always catch him watching country westerns. Isaac made sure those around him knew he loved them. You could always count on Isaac to get the family together and focused on what was most important. Isaac took his responsibility as a father seriously and never saw a difference between his biological and step children, he was a quiet storm, a man of few words but when he was serious everyone knew it. Isaac loved his community and would give his last if someone was in need, he often helped his twin brother Abraham in the community by hosting cookouts and basketball games. He had a special bond with his twin and when you saw one you saw the other. Isaac and Abe were inseparable. Isaac's favorite saying was "Everything is gonna be alright" and most recently "I'm Fine". Isaac leaves to mourn his wife Mildred Johnson-Gallishaw of twentyone years, three daughters Tyisha Walker-Myers (Richard), Shontel Walker, and Destiny Johnson, step daughter Asia Johnson,two sons Emmanuel Gallishaw and James Demby step sons Wade Johnson and Willie Clark. His eldest brother John Henry (Josie), twin brother Abraham and baby brother Robert Gallishaw (Carol), two sister- in- laws Cheryl Gallishaw and Barbara Eaddy, three brother-in-laws Gene Johnson, Albert Eaddy and Raheim Holloway, mother-in-law Barbara Holloway, father-in-law Haywood Johnson, twenty-three grandchildren , one great-granddaughter, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from near and far who loved him on earth, but God in Heaven loved him best. Issac was predeceased in death by brothers Moses, William and Joseph Gallishaw, sisters Janette Lowery and Vermell Gallishaw, brother-in-law Anthony Eaddy.
