Herbert Harrington

Herbert (Cat Dog - Willie Mack - Bad Grand-Pa) Harrington Herbert Harrington was born on November 2, 1953 in New Haven, Connecticut. He was 1 of 10 children born to the late Willard and Barnetta Harrington. As a child, he received his education at Winchester Elementary, Troup Middle School, and finished with James Hillhouse High. After high school he met and married Deborah Jackson and had 5 beautiful children. This would be the only time he married. Throughout his life, he worked many jobs, including Simpkins, Stop and Shop Warehouse, Store 24, Priority Real Estate (15 years) and Jason’s Construction, where he worked with his son until his untimely death. He loved playing Yahtzee with his daughters, traveling with his family, working with his son, spending time with his kids, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren while also being their bad Grand-Pa, shopping for snacks, watching TV on blast even when he wasn’t really watching it (he was sleeping), getting calls and visits from his daughter-in-law Nicol from Ohio, being spoiled and catered to by his son-in-law Will, speeding on the highway with no license with his daughter-in-law Grace, while fighting over snacks, going to Texas and hanging up at night with his son-in-law Dale (gossiping about his daughters). He loved his siblings and all his family. His bond with Debbie was a special one. He loved all their moments together, talks, drives, movies, concerts, dinners, even the arguments. He leaves to cherish his memories, daughters, Latriece Jackson (Dale) of Little Elm, TX and Natausha Dade (Willie) of Hamden, CT; sons, Herbert Jackson and Jason Harrington (Grace) of North Haven, CT; Grand-kids, David Gaskins, Herbert Jackson Jr., Markequis Gomez, Jasmin O’Neal, Keiami Harrington, Jason Draughn, Ta’tayanna Sanders, Jaylen Henderson, William Harrington Jr., Matthew Harrington, Jason Harrington, Jaden Harrington, Jovan Harrington, Willie Dade Jr.; and great grands, David Gaskins Jr., Herbert Jackson III, Carter Gaskins, Emiyah Delgado, Jacob Jackson, Kaison Melton, Elijah Delgado, Kehlani McLean and Lawrence Reuter Jr.; brothers, Kenneth Harrington (Linda) of Hamden, CT and Steven Harrington of New Haven, CT; sisters, Lilian Flowers of New Haven, CT, Sandra Williams (Charles) of New Haven, CT and Geraldine Harrington of New Haven, CT; best friends, Rich Votto and Butch, both from New Haven, CT; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
