Minister Fred Hogan Jr.

A Celebration of Life: Minster Fred Hogan Jr. Minister Fred Hogan Jr. of New Haven, CT departed this life Saturday August 19, 2017. He was born October 20, 1952 in Waterbury, CT. He is the eldest son of Fred Hogan Sr. (deceased) and Sadie Mae Hardy. Minister Hogan is the husband of Overseer Susan R. Hogan. The two have been faithfully married for over 40 years. The Hogans have been blessed with eight children: Jonathan Hogan (Roxanne, Kirsten, Adias), Chenik Arrington (Danielle, De’Ara, Dezyre-deceased), Dominique Arrington (Kevona), Thomas Arrington, Marquis “Josh” Arrington, Daniel Hogan (Nevaeh), Ashley Hogan (Mya, Anthony, Michael Jr.), and Brandon Hogan. Minister Hogan has six brothers: Walter Hardy), Lemuel Hardy, James Hardy (Shirley Ann), Robert S. Hardy (Sonya), John Hardy (Francine), Lucky D. Hardy, and one sister: Linda D. Allen (Eugene – deceased). After moving to New Haven in 1976 Minister Hogan became employed at G&O mfg. co. He worked there for almost 20 years. He also became a member of MT. Zion Pentecostal Church where Pastor Annie Mae Smith was the pastor. Later, he, and his family joined Faith Apostolic Church where Overseer Bessie Hardy was the pastor. After several years of faithful service, Minister Hogan supporting the call of his wife to pastor, assisted in establishing their current ministry: Faith Tabernacle Ministry located at 1940 State St. Hamden, CT. Minister Hogan is an accomplished and gifted musician. He is skillful on several instruments including the guitar, keyboard and harmonica. He has taught many how to play these instruments skillfully and was the Chief Musician of FTM for more than 15 years. Minister Hogan has served the work of the lord in several capacities including: Deacon, Superintendent and teacher of the Sunday School, Supervisor of the Brotherhood Dept., and Vice President of the Ministers Board. He was called and ordained into the ministry in 2000. Minister Hogan was also active in civic and community activities. He was the President of the City Wide Parent Advisory Council and supported many educational events and causes. Minister Hogan possessed the love of God and the Holy Spirit within. This encouraged him to use his gifts and talents to the Glory of God. Besides his wife, children, mother and siblings, Minister Hogan leaves to celebrate his life, a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and associates. Minister Hogan was well known and loved. He will be sorely missed by all his life has touched
