Donald Jones

Donald Anthony Jones of New Britain, 60, of New Britain, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born on July 9, 1962 in New Haven, CT. He was the beloved husband of Judy Jones. Anthony, as the family calls him, was the son of the late William and Mabel Jones. Anthony grew up in Hamden, and was a graduate of Hamden High School, Class of 1980. He then went on to attend Quinnipiac University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Anthony also served in the United States Navy where he received an Honorable Discharge. At the time of his death, he was employed at MassMutual as an Internal Wholesaler. Prior to working at MassMutual, he worked in the car industry for 20 years as a Salesperson, Sales Manager, and General Sales Manager with several car dealerships in CT. Anthony was a very social and outgoing person. Growing up he played baseball, basketball, and football. However, baseball was his favorite sports, after high school he continued to play at the Collegiate level. He was an avid New York Yankees and love attending the games. He also enjoyed watching football and cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Along with playing sports, he loved doing adventurous activities such as ziplining and skydiving. Anthony was a firm believer we should not just work all the time, a vacation is a necessity. His favorite vacations were on a cruise ship. He enjoyed going to the casino, Broadway shows, and last, but not least shopping. When at home, he enjoyed cooking, watching his favorite TV shows, spending time with his family and friends. Anthony was blessed with a large extended family and was always a kind, caring, loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Judy Jones, son, Joseph Jones of Hamden, CT, his daughter, Morgan Jones of Hamden, CT, stepdaughter, Josee Walker of New Britain, CT, granddaughter, Alysia Seals of Hamden, CT, and a grandson, Tishan Mayes, Jr, of New Britain, CT, and a host of relatives and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, William and Mabel Jones and his brother Ronald Jones.
