DiAsia Coardes

On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, the beloved mother, child, sister, aunt, cousin niece and friend, DiAsia Quinnea Coardes entered eternal rest with loved ones by her side. DiAisa was born on December 24, 1993, in New Haven CT. She was the daughter of mother, Yolanda Moses (New Haven, CT) and father, Antonio Coardes (Charlotte, NC). DiAsia also had a bonus father, Charles (Chuck) Santos (Hephzibah, GA). DiAsia was a New Haven native as she attended New Haven Public Schools since pre-school and was a graduate of Wilbur Cross High School, Class of 2011. She formally was an employee of University of New Haven in the food service department. Unfortunately, DiAsia could no longer work due to her disability so began working on launching a clothing line called “Fearless Dreams” as this project was DiAisia’s major aspiration for which she believed would garner much success and provide a legacy. DiAsia was a very loving and caring person and full of humor as she would laugh at almost everything. She was her mother’s “giant with a big hear”. DiAsia was an outstanding mother, as Autumn was her life. Spending time with family was very joyous to DiAsia. She loved hard! DiAsia loved to watch and play basketball and she was a huge Boston Celtics fan. She enjoyed listening to music by Jhene Aiko and going to the casino. DiAsia was our hero as she was an organ donor who inspired many others to become donors. DiAsia leaves to cherish great memories, mother, Yolonda Moses (New Haven, CT); father, Antonio (Jill) Coardes (Charlotte, NC); daughter, Autum Matthews (New Haven, CT); 4 brothers, Edward Waters III (New Haven, CT); Antonio Coardes, Jr. (Charlotte, NC); Dwayne Watkins (New Haven, CT); Avante’Coardes (Charlotte, NC); 2 sisters, Daniqua Brown (Graham, NC); Aniya Coardes(Charlotte, NC); 1 bonus sister, Patrice Redding (West Haven, CT); 5 Godparents, Eloise Tanner-Baker (New Haven, CT); Vanessa Sprull-Chambers (New Haven, CT); Marty Howard (New Haven, CT); Maurice Fuller (New Haven, CT); Omuni Barnes (New Haven, CT); 26 God sisters; 13 God brothers; and a hosts of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. DiAsia was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, 1 uncle and 2 favorite cousins. DiAsia’s legacy lives on!
