Anthony Williams

In the afternoon hours of Saturday, October 28, 2023 Anthony Steven Williams departed this earthly life for a more glorious life to be with his Heavenly Father and other family and friends. Anthony was born on November 22. 1961 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Doretha E. Williams and Junius Williams, Sr. Anthony is survived by his loving sons Anthony Wallace and Antonio Williams, four grandchildren Nikiyah Jenkins, Anthony Wallace, Jr. Carlia Capone, Aniyalisse Williams, six sisters Barbara Tomonia, Sabrena Phillips, Starlene Williams (Linwood) Teresa Williams, Malinda White, Lynetta Williams, two brothers Junius Williams Jr. and Frank Gordon. A loving and caring devoted friend Dawn Sessions for over 12 years. He had a host of many relatives and friends. Anthony was educated in the Richmond Public Schools. He attended John Marshall High School. He was a good in many sports which include basketball, football, and boxing. He obtained his high school diploma in New Haven, Connecticut at Riverside Adult Education. He was employed in Richmond, Virginia at Philip Morris for many years. He relocated to New Haven, Connecticut to have a better life for himself and raise his son Antonio Williams there. He was employed at Winchester Gun Factory, and a Rehabilitation Counselor for over 16 years at Hill Health Center where he navigated in Social Services field on many levels. He assisted with the Elderly Program, Columbus House Homeless Shelter, New Haven Housing Authority, Sub-stance Abuse and Mental Health Dual Diagnosis Clients. He en-joyed fishing as a hobby and known for his stylish fashion and flashy jewelry. He always had a good sense of humor that kept you laughing. He could walk into a room before leaving every-one would know him for his comical personality. Anthony was very family oriented and valued his family unity over anything. He was very loving and caring and would do anything to help anyone. He accepted Christ at New Flame Restoration Church under Bishop Bernice Gibbs where he attended for many years. He sang with the Men Quartet Group and he was very active in church. He will surely be missed by all who knew him and loved him. May he rest in Peace!
