Annie Blumell

Annie Blumell’s life is the epitome of Proverbs 31:10-31 (A Virtuous Woman) Annie Blumell entered into rest on Thursday,February 27,2020 at the Masonic Health Center in Wallingford,CT. She was the daughter of the late Adam G. Vereen and M. Elneta Chestnut Vereen Born on July 8th in Horry County,Wampee,S.C. Her father was a Deacon and her mother held the position of a deaconess at Flag Patch Church. Where she was introduced to the word and excepted Christ at an early age. Annie was educated in South Carolina through the public school system. At an early age she got married and birth four children. In 1966 the family relocated to New Haven, Connecticut to make a better life for themselves. She had several streams of employment during her lifetime. But, the last employer (Olin) U.S. Repeating Arms was her last employer working there for 36 years before retiring, being a loyal and a dedicated employee. After becoming gainfully employed , she looked for a church home finding Union Temple UFWB Church to be the place where she served for over 51 years. She joined the Missionary Board and the Usher Board working out her soul salvation for 51 years of uninterrupted services on each ministry. She was also A former member of the Order of Eastern Stars, Prince Hall Affiliation for over 65 years. Annie leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Norma Miller of Middletown,CT; three sons Charles(Patricia) Blumell of Cary,N.C, Phil(Mona)Blumell and Terry Blumell of New Haven,CT; four sisters Helen(William)Bryant, Velma(Johnnie)Taylor, Vera and Mildred Vereen of Longs,S.C; one brother,Archie(Donna) Vereen of Longs,S.C; five sister-in-laws, Linda Vereen, Maryann (the late Alfred) Daniels,Victoria(Daniel) Davis,Rachel Vereen and Elizabeth (Daniel) Bromell. She also leaves 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters; Mary Ellen(the late Donnie) Frink,Lee Lois(the late Ottis) Smith and Ruth(the late Randolph) Berkley and four brothers; Sam P.(the late Shirley) Vereen, William Vereen,Joseph (the late Jenester) Vereen and Herman (the late Mary) Vereen. One grandson,Gregory Blumell.
